NAET
Question: Hello Folks Since discovering this forum I have seen a few refereces to NAET and understand that it is an allergy treatment. I find this quite fascinating and am wondering if anyone can shed a little more light on it for me. Also what previous experience/qualifications do you need to train in it and what would be a typical cost ? I eagerly await your responses Many thanks Lx Answer: Hi. I am a trained NAET Practitioner. To find out more about it you can go to our website and look under thearapies. Myself and Andrew (Anahata) both practice. Andrew is an osteopath and I went on the course with him, I am an aromatherapist and reflexologist. Most on the course are either doctors, acupuncturists or naturopaths. We did the first course in London and then went to the South of France to do two more courses. We trained because Andrew had had NAET and it worked for him. I will leave him to tell you more. We have slowly built up as we have gained experience and are having good success. It doesn't just clear allergies as such, it can be used for a multitude of health conditions. It involves muscle testing (applied kinesiology) and then treating and 24 hour avoidance. There aren't many practitioners yet in the UK as it has come from the States and Europe. It's hard to get your head round and a lot of people aren't convinced but we tell everybody that if they start they need to remain comitted for it to work as it isn't a quick fix. It does work though and you can clear allergies. The best one I have had was a woman who could not eat eggs without her face swelling. She can now eat eggs without any reaction and I am clearing her for other stuff too. The courses cost about £400 each for three days but the kits you need to practice with are very expensive (hundreds of pounds). It isn't cheap as we have done three courses so far and there are more to do. Hope that helps! Answer: Hi In Applied Kinesiology there is an actual technique which eliminates allergies without having to forke out hundreds of pounds!! It is a fairly simple procedure done by the Kinesiologist plus avoidance of the substance for 48 hoursby the client. It was a technique brought to the U.K. by Dr.Sheldon Deal (member of ICAK examining board) some years back - and I have had great success with it. Love & Light Answer: Have you got some more details on that? I am very interested to know more. Answer: Dear Energy for Health - I hope that you are not suggesting that NAET treatment is excessively expensive, compared to AK or indeed a life time of allergies & sensitivities, as that would be pushing the boundries of what we are about on HP. Having studied Applied / Systemic Kinesiology myself back in '91-2, I don't ever recall any mention of the treatment of allergies, but I do see the potential and the founder of NAET did use her experience from AK, TCM acupuncture & chiropractic to develop NAET. From all reports - it was quite by accident that she did. As to which came first, chicken, egg - is anyone's guess! All I know is that Dr Devi Nambudripad D.C, L.Ac, R.N. PhD "discovered" NAET while using acupuncture to treat herself during an allergic reaction in 1983. There is a dedicated Forum for AK, under Therapies, that I see you've already visited already and is probably the best place to expand on the virtues of AK. I've Posted there myself. Would be interested on any history you have on the Doc Sheldon Deal thing, though. Think I may have a book of his somewhere, but suggest we take it to the AK Forum. Cheers - Andrew. Answer: but you know what? i have dabbled a bit with AK and i am now dabbling with EFT. this also claims to have its routes in AK, among other things and it also claims to *cure* allergies. i feel it is more closely alligned to acupressure, seeing as you are tapping on acupoints! i have not actually applied any of them yet... its probably the sceptic in me but i do intend to try the EFT and see how that goes. i cant help feeling that the *originators* of all these *new* things, are cashing in on old techniques that are being recycled for todays society, if you know what i mean. Answer: Dear Friends I have no intention to 'mock' any other therapy out there as they all have their place and they all attract their clients. Personally, I have no idea how much a treatment session costs but as Candie mentioned in her post that she spent x-amount of pounds on the course and more on some equipement and merely wanted to highlighten that there are other methods out there. Most of them overlap somewhat and I feel that the origins lay with the Chinese acupunctur system. In my view it doesn't matter which ever format is used to help the individual to overcome/deal with their problems/situations as long as it does help. Dr. Sheldon Deal gave a lecture in October 1998 on the technique mentioned earlier and a write up can be found in the Compendium of Kinesiology by Alan Lam (info on the Associations website www.kinesiology-uk.com). No bad feelings - as there is no competition!! Love & Light Answer: Yes the course did cost me a lot of money, but then I haven't paid to study AK so I suppose it all evens out really. A NAET treatment costs £40 for the first one and £25 for subsequent treatments at our clinic, but practitioners in London charge more. Rosie, I believe EFT has some sucess with treating some allergies but not all. I received their newsletter saying just that. As I said in another forum, NAET clears food and enviromental and emotional allergies. It would appear that most allergies have some emotional connection anyway and it is simply a matter of breaking that pattern between the brain and the body to stop the reaction occuring. NAET is also used to clear anaphalactic allergies, though I personally am not keen to go there! Copyright ? 2008-2009 www.health-time.org
