WOW!
Question:

When my Dr. said I may see results from Embrel in as little as a few weeks, I was very impressed and was excited to start. What has happened has me speechless. After only 2 days, this stuff has totally knocked this thing out. Actually feel like running up the stairs now. Heeeehaaaaa!! NO PAIN!!!! If it works this well for the P too, then I'm having a party. Drinks on me.

Answer:

Eric-that's great!!!! Can I come to the party?????? :D

Answer:

Eric,
So glad to hear you are having so much good luck with Enbrel!!! How is you p doing too? I'm on Humera and found when I first took the Humera that I had wonderful feelings from my pa. I've been on Humera since November of 2003 in a clinical trial study and it really has improved my progression of pa and alows me more pain free days. I still have some stubborn p spots to clear, but I've had to take a few breaks from Humera on and off. Good luck to you and keep us posted.

Eric,
I also noticed that I had significant improvement within just a couple of days after starting Enbrel. It's nothing short of a miracle, in my opinion! I've been on Enbrel for about a year and a half and I feel like a completely different person than I did when I started.

Hello everyone,
I'm fairly new to the boards here. Been reading things for awhile now but have never posted a message so I hope this works okay.
A little background on me. I've had psoriasis for 17 years and was diagnosed with PA almost 3 years ago.
The reason I'm posting now is that I have a question about results from Enbrel. I see so many posts on how Enbrel has really helped them but was wondering how many others had bad results from Enbrel (my daughter uses Enbrel and has had good results with it).
I had started Enbrel back in October. I was pretty much clear at that point after using cyclosporine and methotrexate for a while but was still having problems with the arthritis. Well, by Thanksgiving I was alot worse and by Christmas had most of my body covered along with most of my knuckles cracked open, cracks on the wrist, forearm, elbows, knees, and ankles. I know they always say that you have to give this stuff a while to see if it's going to work so I kept at it, hoping it'd improve. Oh, by the way, didn't really help the arthritis at all. During this time period I was moving and so wasn't able to get back into a doctor in enough time. Around the beginning of February I ran out of the Enbrel. Well, as soon as I stopped the Enbrel things started clearing right away and are still improving. I still have probably 60% of my body covered but no open cracks or anything like that so it's at least more comfortable (except for the itching).
Just wondering if there were other bad experiences from Enbrel?

Answer:

Way to go Eric! I'm so happy for you. I hope it works for a long, long time.

Just wondering if there were other bad experiences from Enbrel? Hi Kathy,
Welcome to the Board! Nice to meet you. I'm sorry to hear about the problems you experienced while on Enbrel. :( I figured that you would get a better reponse if your story told in a brand new thread so I posted a copy of it here: .
I hope this helps. Good luck. Keep us posted and please don't be a stranger.
I look forward to getting to know you better.

Answer:

:D I am in week 3 and my PA is sooooo much better already. I can walk up and down stairs without problem and can actually move in the morning!! My psoriasis is also cleared a great deal too!!! I can only hope to continue to see the improvements. My only slight side effect was a few minor headaches. So far no problem with injection sites reactions and the shot process is much easier than I thought it could ever be. :D :D
