Scalp P and Headaches
Question: Just curious if anyone else experiences headaches when their scalp and/or ears are flaring? Since my scalp and ears have gotten bad again recently, I notice that I'm having several headaches per week. :( Not sure if this is related to my p, or other meds that I have recently started. Kim Answer: hi kim sorry i can't help much. i only get it alittle on my forehead. i hope your headaches stop. try and have a good day my friend richard Answer: Sorry Kim, I can't help you out. I've never noticed a difference in my headaches when I'm flaring and I've suffered from migraine/tension headaches since I was 17 Answer: Well KIM I dont know if I could help you but I now have P covering my ENTIRE scalp... and when I say entire there is NOT one inch of my scalp that is NOT covered.... so I also have been having headaches and I thought maybe it was because it was pulling soooo tight on my scalp but who knows,. It could be from the medication you are on too... read up on the side effects that you could be experiencing with the meds..... I hope you feel better!!!!! xoxoxoxo mushy mushy lol Answer: alrighty LOL its KATIE.... didnt realize I was on Robs Name LOL/........... I Just got P about a month ago, on my scalp as well and i have some terrible headaches. and im not on any medication!! Answer: Dear all! 5 weeks ago I had psoriasis all over my head. I was awfully itchy and was desperate to try something new. I did some research and came across an article about apple cider vinegar. They described how it was good for Scalp PSO or severe dandruff, so I gave it a go. I applied ACV in the evening and left it in overnight. I put a towel on my pillow to protect it from the (somewhat vile) smell. I I made sure to massage the severe parts and basically rubbed it in all over my head. It stings and stinks but I promise you, it is totally worth it. In hte morning I washed it out with tea tree oil shampoo (or derm shamoo). Today I have NO flakes at all and I do NOT itch and I can wear black jumpers without having to worry about the flakes. It is absolutely wonderful. Why don’t you give this a go? It is cheap and it works! Answer: Thanks for the tip, Marie. I did my lovely beauty regime of Derma Smoothe last night  and it usually works great for me, but I'll keep the ACV in mind. It's just so hard to find the time to do the overnight stuff and comb out when I have to be at work at 6 am. So I've been lazy, and not getting on it. Having the day off today, I decided the timing was good, and I will probably repeat it Friday or Saturday night. I just need to get back in a routine on it. I've been stalling, hoping to be back on Humira soon, but that may be a ways off. Thanks again for everyone's advice. :) Kim Answer: Yes, I have noticed a connection between my scalp P and headaches. I'll have nights when my scalp just tortures me (or perhaps I just torture my scalp)- I just can't leave it alone. Maybe I have a little OCD. I pick at it and then I'm constantly checking for visible flakes, running my fingers through my hair, trying to get the loose pieces out. which makes it even worse. A headache often follows. I thought this was just me. Answer: Yes, I have noticed a connection between my scalp P and headaches. I thought this was just me. That's exactly what I do, Linda!...lol..along with my ears! And then I wonder why it hurts???  At least we're not alone...lol. Kim Answer: Here I thought I ws losing my mind telling peeps that my head hurts about, the same time it goes nutzzz itching off my ears too. I keep telling them I think the 2 go hand and hand but they look at me as if i nutty. Having a bad headache now for 3 weeks no meds are stopping it and the place on the back of my head at the base of the hair line well lets just say PING PONG ball in half size it fills up and then the head hurts. So any body got any ideals. Oh hi I'm new here looking like evebody for some help and answers maybe. Cant get the pors to listen they know it all..lol Copyright ? 2008-2009 www.health-time.org
